The Great Oaks South Subdivision is located in an unincorporated area of Fort Bend County.  The boundaries are Bellaire Blvd. (on the north), Hwy. 1464 (on the West), Winding Canyon Lane (on the South) and  Chickory Woods Lane (on the East).

Great Oaks South, Sections 1 and 2 is made up of 214 single-family homes.  Most of the homes were built in 2002, the average home has approximately 2,000 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and has a 2 garage.

The children living in The Great Oaks South attend schools in the Fort Bend School District.  The subdivision is located in Fort Bend Municipal Utility District (MUD) #30.
